Nepomuceno, other Philippine Sports Icons carry the Sea Games Federation flag at the 2019 Opening ceremony
Filipino bowling legend Rafael “Paeng” Nepomuceno, along with other Philippine sports icons will carry the Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) Federation flag during the opening rites of the 30th SEA Games on Saturday at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
Nepomuceno will be joined by former Asia’s sprint queen Lydia De Vega-Mercado, basketball luminary Alvin Patrimonio, bowler Bong Coo, swimmers Akiko Thompson and Eric Buhain, 1996 Olympic boxing silver medalist Mansueto “Onyok” Velasco and billiards great Efren “Bata” Reyes.
The SEAG Federation flag symbolizes its 11 member nations namely the Philippines,Brunei, Malaysia, Timor Leste, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore.
